Weekend trips with no cell service

Maybe this is a Northern California thing, but most of the places we road-trip to within weekend driving distance don’t have any cell phone reception. And it’s accidentally on purpose amazing: You communicate better with friends, let things happen as they may, bring a film camera or two, and live life like it’s 1998.
